Harvest Adult Choir
Harvest Adult choir helps to lead at the 9:00 worship service. They sing a variety of songs from traditional to contemporary. The group is comprised of around 30 to 50 singers depending on the time of year. They practice on Tuesday nights from 7:00 to 8:30 in the West Wing rooms 202 and 203.
The anthems that the Harvest Choir sings include music by the top composers of today, including Joseph Martin, Pepper Choplin, John Rutter, and Mark Hayes to name a few. They also sing works by the famous composers of the past, such as J. S. Bach, Handel, Brahms, etc.
Many of the pieces that the choir sings are A Cappella, while some use piano, organ, flute, violin and other instruments.
Along with the singing at the Sunday morning services, the choir presents a Cantata every year during Lent and participates at the
Hanging of the Greens service during Advent, and the traditional Christmas Eve service. Once a year, usually in February, the choir hosts a choir festival with several of the other local churches to help support Family Promise.
